The CFIA announced the recall of Halvana brand Hummus by Halvana North America Inc. because they contain sesame which is or are not declared on the product label.The recalled products are:
- Halvana Hummus Classic Recipe (175 g), UPC: 8 81366 00221 7, All codes where sesame is not declared on the label.
- Halvana Hummus Green Olives (175 g), UPC: 8 81366 00224 8, All codes where sesame is not declared on the label.
- Halvana Hummus Chili-Za'tar (175 g), UPC: 8 81366 00223 1, All codes where sesame is not declared on the label.
These products were distributed nationwide in Canada.
If you have an allergy to sesame do not eat them, they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw them away or returned them to the place of purchase.
