1 year ago source fda.gov

97039 United States

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning over a recall of oysters potentially contaminated with Norovirus. The oysters, harvested by Ruco's Shellfish from a portion of the Hammersley Inlet growing area in Washington State, were distributed in Oregon and Washington. The recall was initiated due to a Norovirus outbreak linked to the oysters.

The recalled product includes:
- Shellstock oysters
- Harvested from December 2 to December 17, 2024
- By Ruco's Shellfish.
- The oysters were distributed in Washington and Oregon
- With the possibility of further distribution to other states.

The FDA is advising restaurants, food retailers, and consumers not to serve, sell, or consume these oysters.
