The Coastal Companies dba Hearn Kirkwood has voluntarily initiated a recall of its Egg Salad Sandwich due to an undeclared allergen. The product was distributed to institutions, hospitals, and retailers across multiple states including DC, FL, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and VA in the United States. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a Tuna Salad Sandwich was mislabeled as an Egg Salad Sandwich, leading to an undeclared allergen of fish (Tuna).The product in question is the Egg Salad Sandwich, packaged in a 7.22oz (205g) clamshell for individual sale, with the UPC 766375938415. The batch under recall has a use-by date of 03/23/2024. A total of 551 units have been recalled.
Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction; and do not serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products and return them to the store where it was purchased.
