May 17th, 2026:
Sugar Foods has announced a recall of Kroger Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected croutons were distributed to Kroger stores across 17 states in the U.S., including Alabama.

- Use by Date: Feb. 17, 2027 / Feb. 18, 2027 / Feb. 27, 2027 / Feb. 28, 2027 / March 6, 2027 / March 9, 2027 / March 21, 2027 / April 1, 2027 / April 7, 2027

The issue was identified following a recall of milk powder by California Dairies, which was used in the croutons' seasoning.
