May 17th, 2026:
Sugar Foods has announced a recall of Kroger Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected croutons were distributed to Kroger stores across 17 states in the U.S., including Alabama.

The issue was identified following a recall of milk powder by California Dairies, which was used in the croutons' seasoning.
