Recall notice
Ireland
Lidl, the international supermarket chain, has issued a recall for its Deluxe Soup due to undeclared gluten (wheat and barley). The product was distributed in Ireland and is being recalled because of mispackaging that led to incorrect allergen labeling. The product in question is the Deluxe Sweet Potato & Chicken Soup, which was mistakenly packed in tubs labeled as Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup. The pack size is 400g. The batch code for the recalled product is 2024.A30, with a use-by date of 29th September 2024.
The issue was discovered when the Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup, which contains cereals with gluten (wheat and barley), was found in tubs labeled as Deluxe Sweet Potato & Chicken Soup. This mislabeling could pose a risk to consumers with gluten allergies or intolerances. The affected tubs have the correct Deluxe Chicken & Vegetable Soup lid. The product is sold in Lidl stores.
In case you experience harm from allergens or undeclared ingredients, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve issues and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
