The FSAI announced the recall of additional batches of Lucky Me! Instant Noodles due to the presence of the unauthorized pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in foods sold in the EU.The additional batches recalled are:
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Original Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 30/07/2022, 14/08/2022, 08/09/2022, 14/09/2022, 11/11/2022
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Hot Chilli Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 29/07/14/08/2022, 14/09/2022, 12/10/2022, 11/11/2022
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Kalamansi Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 29/07/2022, 14/08/2022, 13/09/2022, 14/09/2022, 12/10/2022, 03/02/2023
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Chilimansi Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 30/07/2022, 14/08/2022, 09/09/2022, 13/09/2022, 19/09/2022, 10/11/2022 18/01/2023, 03/02/2023

Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimized. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.
