Middle East Coast brand Tahini Dip recalled due to Contaminations

Shovel and Spoon LLC has initiated a voluntary recall of its Middle East Coast brand Tahini Dip due to potential contamination with spoilage organisms. The product was distributed in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts in the USA.

The recalled product is:
- Tahini Dip Middle East Coast
- Packaged in 6-ounce (170g) tubs
- With UPC code 8 60005 50281 3.
- The affected lot numbers are:
MECT1082 with a best-by date of 6/26/25
MECT1083 with a best-by date of 7/3/25.
- A total of 658 tubs are involved in the recall.
- Ingredients: Tahini, Organic lemon, Juice, Garlic, Olive oil, Sea salt, Organic toasted sesame, Contains sesams.

The issue was discovered through internal testing, leading to a Class II recall initiated on June 20, 2025. The classification date was July 18, 2025. The recall is currently ongoing.
