Seasoning for Cheese Sauce recalled due to a Contamination with recalled Milk Powder

Update May 21st, 2026:
The FDA has classified the recall of Givaudan Flavors Corp Bulk WN-976-782-1 Seasoning for Cheese Sauce as a Class I recall. Officials also updated the reason for the recall, stating that the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, rather than only containing nonfat dry milk powder involved in a downstream supplier recall.

Givaudan Flavors Corp has initiated a voluntary recall of its Bulk WN-976-782-1 Seasoning for Cheese Sauce due to a downstream recall of nonfat dry milk powder by the supplier. The product was distributed by one manufacturer in Missouri, USA.

AFFECTED PRODUCT

PRODUCT: Bulk WN-976-782-1 Seasoning for Cheese Sauce
- Is packaged in brown kraft bags, each weighing 43.50 lbs.
- It is identified by batch number CS00140785
- Has an expiry date of September 26, 2026.
- A total of 24,012 lbs. of the product is affected by this recall.

The recall was initiated by the firm on April 22, 2026. The recall has not yet been classified by the FDA.
