FDA announced the recall of Vegan Pumpkin Pie bulk frozen cases and Individual Retail Packages by Willamette Valley Pie Company, LLC due to the presence of Foreign objects. These products were distributed in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin.The recalled products are:
- Bulk Frozen Cases: The 9" Vegan Pumpkin Pie bulk case has UPC 22518 84081 and the label is read in parts: 9" Vegan Pumpkin Pie WFM, BAKED BULK, 6 units/case. Product Quantity: 254 cases; 6 pies per case
- Individual Retail Packages: Whole Foods Market - Vegan Pumpkin Pie, net Wt. 1lb 12oz (794g) packaged in window box or plastic clamshell. Whole Foods Market - Vegan Pumpkin Pie Half, net wt. 13 oz. (369g); packaged in plastic clamshell. Whole Foods Market - Vegan Pumpkin Pie Slice, net wt. 4 oz. (113g); packaged in plastic clamshell. Product Quantity: 1,524 pies.
Bulk Packages have the affected. Whole Foods Market retail packages have the Sell By 11 25 23. WVPC Lot Code: 6-digit code that indicates the line, date made, and shift. For example: 610216; 6=Line, 102=Julian Date, 1=Shift, 6=Year.
This recall was initiated on 11/21/2023 and its status is ongoing. Do not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled products.
