Unrinsed Greens Cause Illness - Albertsons, Taos New Mexico

6 years ago reported by user-ndtx8125 business

Albertsons Market, Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM, USA

710 A Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, 87571 New Mexico, United States

I'm not positive but am guessing spinach or red leaf lettuce I got from Albertson's that I didn't rinse well the night before. I also ate suspect meatballs for lunch but think the symptoms started a little before that.
Started with bloating and tingling in my arms this morning. I knew something was off but couldn't place it. Of course, lunch made it worse and two hours later I wasn't sure I wouldn't make the rest of my shift as the intense abdominal cramping began. One hour later the vomiting and diarrhea began. Uncontrollable, bloody diarrhea. Friends got me home and that's when I noticed the chills. It's after midnight and the cramping has become tolerable, and while I'm still vomiting and have diarrhea it's happening less frequently and there no longer seems to be blood in my stool. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Bloating, Cramps, Chills
