High Sodium Popcorn Issue - AMC THEATER, Lisbon Connecticut

3 years ago reported by user-mfzk1171 business

AMC Theatres Cinema 12, River Road, Lisbon, CT, USA

162 River Road, Lisbon, 06351 Connecticut, United States

Sodium treatment is dangerously high in the theater popcorn. I have saved the bucket for health department testing. I get headaches for up to 2 days after eating this ignorance. Apparently after many months of complaints, the local GM tasted the popcorn and found sodium to be off the carts and normalized the portion of salt. Unfortunately, according to an assistant manager this Monday 12-26-22 I was informed that the regional manager insisted to up the sodium portion. This again resulted in popcorn I could not eat after a few handfuls, due to my mouth burning and my head starting to de-hydrate in less than 30 minutes. This ignorance needs a formal complaint to the state and local health department. Sodium alone is bad for people's kidneys and liver. if this popcorn is mixed with MSG and other synthetic chemicals people are most likely feeling the ill effects but do not report it or are avoiding the snack itself. | Symptoms: Headache, Dehydration
