Fiesta Salad Illness Dispute - Applebee's, Sayre Pennsylvania

3 years ago reported by user-qcdgj422 business

Applebee's grill, Elmira Street, Sayre, PA, USA

1860 Elmira Street, Sayre, 18840 Pennsylvania, United States

On July 6, 2022 I ordered two fiesta lime chicken dinners w/sides of two salads. I picked the meals up here at 11:30 am. Having not eaten anything that day, at about 1:00 pm I ate one of the salads at home. I felt stomach cramps later that afternoon followed by sweats, nausea, cramping and severe diarrhea all night and most of the next day. I had eaten nothing but their salad on July 6th. I remained weak and mildly nauseous all day July 8th. Today (July 9th) I returned there with the remaining and completely refrigerated salad and spoke to the Restaurant manager. This individual categorically refused responsibility, attacked my credibility with little more than latent hostility, and exhibited a barely masked condescending attitude. I gave her the remaining uneaten and fully refrigerated salad and asked if she could get it tested for listeria, salmonella, etc. She denied any knowledge of her ability to do so. I left her the salad along with my name and phone number requesting she ask her supervisor to contact me.
I had returned there with the uneaten remaining salad to simply to advise them of their food poisoning problem...I left there today with the realization that their management had no concern or regard for me as their customer and was programmed to disavow any responsibility whatsoever. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps, Weakness, Sweating
