Crab Benedict Causes Illness - Bascom's Chop House, Clearwater Florida

I had Egg and Crab Benedict on Sunday April 4th. About 1 hour afterward, I had violent sharp, stabbing stomach pains. I laid down and they subsided temporarily. They then returned along with severe belching. I took acid pills to no avail. This continued into the night, then diarrhea began and continued for two full days. I took a pill which stopped the problem. Stomach pains continued, then finally resolved. I took several probiotic pills and stayed hydrated. I was very disappointed as the food was delicious! However, as it was the only thing I had had that morning, I know it was either the egg or crab (which I suspect). I hated to report, but maybe this restaurant will check their and their seafood distributor's practices. I attempted to report to health department but it just seemed way too complicated as they send you to another site and reporting is difficult. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Other, Stomach Pain, Burping
