On Sunday, November 5th, I made a colossal error in judgment by eating lunch at the Big Boy in Madison Heights, MI. When we walked in, I quickly observed that every table that wasn't occupied was covered in the previous occupant's dishes and uneaten food. As we waited at the host stand for nearly 20 minutes to be greeted, it became apparent that the restaurant was severely understaffed. I should have left, however my kids really wanted Big Boy and were behaving quite well, so I decided to wait it out. It took almost an hour to get our food. Again, we should have left before it even arrived. I had the club sandwich, and 24 hours later, I had severe abdominal pain, constant diarrhea, and non-stop nausea. I don't know if it was the turkey, the lettuce, or something related to lack of hygiene by the staff — but I was poisoned. The symptoms lasted for 3 days. To make matters worse, the symptoms returned in full force every 4-5 days over the course of three weeks. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain
