Salmonella at Luxury Resort - Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, Punta Cana La Altagracia

I have been staying all week here. On my third day here, I came down with severe stomach and abdominal cramping, explosive diarrhea, nausea, a 102 fever, and became so dehydrated that I had to go by ambulance to the local hospital. I have food poisoning - Salmonella - from the food I had somewhere on the resort. The food here is not very good, and this has been a miserable vacation because I am so sick. I am on antibiotics and it will take days before I feel better. I have read so many reports on food-borne illness in this country - at the nicest resorts. I will never come back to the Dominican again. Also, while staying here this week, someone broke into the hotel room one building over, and that couple was robbed and stabbed. This is supposed to be a super fine resort with top quality everything but it’s been a super scary week. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Fever, Cramps, Dehydration
