My fiancé and I were there for 4 nights starting June 10,2022. The second night there our symptoms began. And we were down the rest of our stay. Every time we ate, we were sick 30 minutes later. We didn’t realize it was the food until the last day then we avoided any foods that were not pre packaged at all costs. Once we got to the air port, we found out our flight was canceled. We spoke to a bus full of people (from canceled flight) and they all mentioned the same thing, all staying at different resorts that’s when we really realized this was not the flu. One was hospitalized after 10 days of illness here. We will not be returning to Dominican Republic again. We’ve been to other parts of the Caribbean with zero issues like this. While it’s pretty and the people are very friendly, there are much better options. Horrible stay :( | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
