Oyster Overindulgence Illness - EMC Seafood & Raw Bar, Los Angeles California

5 years ago reported by user-qrvzx865 business

EMC Seafood & Raw Bar, West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA, USA

3500 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, 90020 California, United States

I just had what I thought to be the best feasts of my life. I’ve been here several times but just came back for their dine out reopening. I ordered calamari, garlic noodles, and 48 of the happy hour oysters because we just made it in time. 1-2 hours later, felt questionable nausea THEN threw up for 10+ times. The first 3 times was puke then the rest barely had any to puke out. It was one of the worst food poisoning experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life, I thought I was about to pass out because how tiring and draining it was, I just wanted to sleep. I found the trick was to brush my teeth and tongue very well to prevent any more natural gagging from the smell and taste, I’ve noticed it was my body’s reaction trying to completely rid of any scent of taste of it. Then I had my body elevated, between 180 and 90 degree angle supporting my head with multiple pillows. My body felt hijacked and I need to let it calm down ASAP. Standing up or laying down completely flat would always trigger a throw up. It’s 6 hours later, slightly napped but I FINALLY feel better. Won’t be eating oysters for a while, this was trauma. I used to love oysters but I’d rather pay more, eat way less, and at an extra cleaner restaurant. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting
