Yogurt QC Issue: Clumpy, Sour - Giant Eagle, Avon Lake Ohio

3 years ago reported by user-qjfd9225 business

Giant Eagle Supermarket, 31990 Walker Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012, USA

31990 Walker Road, Avon Lake, 44012 Ohio, United States

I purchased 3x 4- packs of Oui by Yoplait Gluten-Free French-Style Whole Milk Yogurt Vanilla from here. I purchased each 4-pack, respectively, on Monday, 12/26/22, Wednesday, 12/28/22, and Thursday, 12/29/22. On each occasion, the yogurt was off- the normal creamy, smooth texture is slightly clumpy and slightly sour. You can feel the difference immediately on your tongue. Each time I purchased, I made sure to wait until the shelves had been restocked, and pulled the 4-pack from the furthest back in the refrigerated cooler. I eat this yogurt daily, so I am well versed in how it normally tastes/looks; I knew immediately after partially eating one in each pack that something was wrong. On each occasion, I had tummy troubles from the amount I ate, and by the last purchase, I didn't consume more than a tablespoon bc I could tell it was bad again despite having only just been restocked on the shelf. None of the 4-packs were purchased after the expiration date, so this is clearly a quality control issue with either the stores refrigeration being inadequate, the delivery process, or the manufacturer. This is what happens when yogurt is improperly refrigerated. | Symptoms: Other
