Suspected source: Egg salad and iceberg lettuce
Onset: 4 to 12 hours
Duration: Less than 4 hours
Additional information: Initial lower gastric distress for about 2 hours starting about 5 hours after eating, continuing for 3 hours. Nausea starting about 6 hours after eating, lasting for 30 minutes. Violent vomiting about 6 hours and 30 minutes after eating lasting 5 minutes, resulting in remnants of hard boiled egg whites and lettuce.
