I ate the boneless spare ribs and house special soup and before I knew it I had pains on my stomach. Within minutes I was in the bathroom.. I was throwing up and started shaking uncontrollably.
I knew things would only get worse but didn’t know how bad things were about to get. I figured it would last 24 hours but was I in for a shock just how long it would last.
I headed up to my room where I decided I wanted to be. My phone I took with but no charger ( this would be important later on) The pains in my stomach became so bad I was begging for a break in between but the only thing I was able to do at this point was to make it from my bed to bathroom on time.
It got to the point that I couldn’t keep going between bed and bathroom because I was exhausted and decided to stay in the bathroom and on the floor. I was so dehydrated I had to drink in between getting sick but that only made things worse. I would make my way back to bed where things would get worse.
I got to the point where I lost all control of my
bowels and vomiting and when I tried get up to go to the bathroom I was shaking uncontrollably and realized it was only minutes until I would pass out.
That’s when I knew things were getting worse. The only problem was I had no energy to pick up the phone and even if I had thought to call it wasn’t possible my phone died.
24 hours had come and gone and I realized that this wasn’t stopping and I was in trouble.
I could hear someone ringing my bell but at this point I was 3 flights upstairs and couldn’t do anything. Then I heard someone pinging my ipad (which I didn’t know at the time what it was) and finally the police department showed up and while I couldn’t scream out because I was so weak and passing out in between getting sick. I had by now lost my bowels in my bed and been throwing up in plastic bags and then too sick to make it into a bag. I had passed the bile stage and while I didn’t realize it was throwing up blood and blood was in my stool as well.
Finally .. Finally help arrived. That police officer I heard banging on my door broke into the house and made his way to me where I was lying in vomit and feces. It was my son who called the police after not being able to get in touch with me and my
parents who always hear from me realized something was wrong when I missed
day and couldn’t get in touch with me.
I was rushed to the hospital where I was sepsis toxic and my organs were failing. My blood pressure was 50/40 and they thought I wasn’t going to make it. I was admitted to
ICU and would spend the next month in the hospital. I have never been so sick in my
