My 16-year-old sister and I ordered from Healthy Poke (Poblenou, Barcelona) through Uber Eats on the night of Saturday, July 12th, 2025 around 7:58 PM. We received two chicken poke bowls and two burritos. I didn’t eat because they ignored allergy instructions and included avocado in my bowl. My sister ate her chicken poke bowl.The next morning (Sunday the 13th), she began vomiting repeatedly and couldn’t keep anything down all day. That night, her symptoms worsened severely and we took her to Hospital del Mar (Barcelona) around 12:30 AM on Monday, July 14th. She was diagnosed with food poisoning and severe dehydration, admitted for urgent care, and treated with IV fluids and medication. We had to pay €1,099.28 in medical costs out of pocket.
We suspect the chicken may have been undercooked, as she mentioned it tasted strange. I still have the remaining bowl and burritos. This experience completely ruined her vacation and was dangerous to her health.
