SM 006 Carretera a Punta Sam, Cancún, 77400 Quintana Roo, Mexico
We arrived at the Catalonia on the afternoon of October 26. We ate at the buffet for that meal. On October 27, we had breakfast at the buffet and dinner at the WOK restaurant. We were VERY careful with water, and we didn't eat any fish, seafood, salad, chicken, or fruit. On the morning of October 28, I suddenly developed severe diarrhea (basically water) and nausea, along with a high fever, so I didn't eat all day. I only drank San Pellegrino sparkling water and electrolytes. Later that day, I had a strong fever. On the afternoon of October 28, my partner began experiencing the same symptoms. On October 29, my violent diarrhea and nausea continued, and my partner had the same issues. Neither of us ate that day; we only drank electrolytes and sparkling water. On October 30, the symptoms persisted, but we started to feel hungry. We ordered room service—a club sandwich (we only ate the fries) and a pizza (we only ate the crust). On October 31, we purchased our own return flight tickets to leave as soon as possible. The front desk staff were indifferent when we mentioned that we were sick. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Nausea, Fever
