I am reporting a food poisoning that occurred at this Restaurant on 2-7-2022.After purchasing the BLACKENED FISH TACOS at approx. 2-2:30 pm. I returned
home and went for my regular walk with my daughter. This was the only thing I ate
the entire day. At approx. 11:00 pm, when going to bed, I began having severe stomach
cramping, doubled over and tried to go to the bathroom before bed. Nothing. I then
returned to bed and began to toss and turn until I went to sleep. At 4:00am (2/8) I woke up and had to run to the bathroom, where I grabbed a trashcan and had diarrhea and vomited up everything in my stomach. Even today (2/9), my stomach is still uneasy.
I contacted my friend who went with me and had something else to eat, BUT she ordered
2 orders of the BLACKENED FISH TACOS to bring home to her dad and sister. Her
sister got cramping and felt sick but didn't throw up, eating the same meal I had.
The restaurant is this.
I called to speak to the General Manager and
left a message. That call has not been returned.
I understand the seafood is very expensive so I'm concerned either their refrigeration
may be unsatisfactory and/or they're keeping fish longer than what is safe. I'm sending
this to have you check this restaurant as I don't want neighbors and friends going there
and experiencing what I did. I will be telling everyone I know and posting it on Neighbors,
so at least the people here in Point Loma become aware of the dangers in eating seafood
