Was passing through town and came here for lunch. Got a veggie sandwich. Became sick within hours. Food poisoning symptoms: vomiting/ diarrhea. Became severely dehydrated. Still recovering 5 days later. Lost about 8% of my body weight due to not being able to eat. Lost a lot of muscle. I am a healthy 30 year old. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration

Food poisoning generally only lasts 24 hours. The phrase "24hr flu" has been found to be food poisoning due to the fact there is no flu virus that lasts only 24hrs but good ol food poisoning does...

TIP: Food poisoning can last a lot longer than 24 hours! It depends a lot on the pathogen. E. Coli and Salmonella can be 5 days or more, Campylobacter can be as long as 10 days.
