Lucky Charms CerealI ate a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal at 10 a.m. on April 14 and had no issues for several hrs. I became hot during the night as I tried to sleep. Before getting out of bed April 15 nausea started, followed by hours of severe vomiting first, then diarrhea. I have had vomiting and diarrhea both now for 10 hours, and only out of bed to rush to the bathroom.
This may be the second time I have become sick from eating out of this same box. About 2 months ago, I developed severe diarrhea for about 12 hrs. (no vomiting then.) I love Lucky Charms, but try to eat a healthier breakfast most mornings. I do not know if I had eaten Lucky Charms when I was sick 2 months ago, but I am now wondering. I do know I had not eaten Lucky Charms since then, even though I did not suspect they caused my illness at the time. Even after hearing about a few reports, I really did not believe a packaged cereal could make someone this sick, and had no reservations eating a bowl yesterday.
I do think the remaining cereal in my box should be tested. I am reporting to this site, General Mills, and the FDA. I would advise no one to eat this cereal. I have been extremely sick today.
