Dry Cereal Causes Illness - Lucky Charms, Pottawattamie Park Indiana

3 years ago reported by user-tdxg4778

Lucky Charms, Pottawattamie Park, IN, USA

Pottawattamie Park, 46360 Indiana, United States

I’ve always enjoyed Lucky Charms cereal. However the last box I purchased at my local grocery store at Meijer made that change. I haven’t had any since my last experience. Please note, that I don’t drink milk, so I consume my cereal dry in a cup for breakfast. After eating two medium sized cups I went on with my day. But then noticed I started feeling very nauseous roughly a half hour after finishing it. I continued to work and try to ignore the feeling, however I was not able to keep the breakfast down and started vomiting. A few hours later, I was having stomach issues with diarrhea and was down for most of the day with it. I am only reporting this now after a few weeks, because a friend informed me of the same and said I should report it. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

The Red40 dye used in Lucky Charms causes severe GI distress whenever I ingest a product using it. Europe does not allow the coloring. Check out Red40.com

How long is it going to take for the US to ban these dyes!?! How many more people sick???

I had same issue this week and wondered what was wrong with me

I hope people are not comming around to defend lucky charms since this poisoning is hitting the headlines. They are not allergies.
