Food Safety Report - Lucky Charms, Naples Florida

2 years ago reported by user-grpdk224 business

Lucky Charms, Sam's Club, Immokalee Road, Naples, FL, USA

2550 Immokalee Road, Naples, 34110 Florida, United States

Eaten on Tuesday evening 4/12/2022–truly wish I had seen these news stories from the prior day. [Only now saw the story in my IG feed from the “Wall Street Journal” today, 4/18/2022]. This was the second box of my two pack purchased at here on 10/11/21, I checked my receipt as it was purchased on Instacart. The food poisoning type pain woke me at about 4 am. (I prefer to eat my Lucky Charms like a snack—so dry and without milk.)

While cleaning for Easter company Thursday evening, I threw out the box and the remainder of the cereal.

Quite honestly, I am simply hopeful that General Mills figures out what has occurred and that others do not get ill.

Thank you. | Symptoms: Diarrhea

I wouldn't put much hope on General Mills to do anything meanful in terms of helping people who got sick off of their product/products. They've already claimed that their investigation found nothing that would be making so many people sick (complete and utter BS if you ask me) I'm waiting for the FDA to finish their investigation and come out with a statement

Just over a decade ago, severe reaction to GM gluten free rice chex. Spent weeks thinking I had a milk allergy, then rice milk allergy, etc. Almond milk was not allergic to plain. Next day, before finishing cereal headache, then chills and gut pain. Called GM to determine if it might have gluten. Their response- a) they do not have to declare ingredients that are less than 2% and b) get to an emergency room right away. I couldn't afford that- eliminated cereal, got better next day. Can drink regular milk again, no problem. Will NEVER eat packaged cereal again. (easy to make thin batter flavored with real fruit. pour and spread on good quality parchment paper, bake in slow oven. Let cool. Break into spoon size pieces, store in air tight container.
