Prawn-Melon Illness Ordeal - P. F. Chang's, Los Angeles California

8 years ago reported by user-kjqy6266 business

P.F. Chang's, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, CA, United States

21821 Oxnard Street, Los Angeles, 91367 California, United States

I dined at PF Chang's on 1/24/18 at 8:30PM and had the Walnut Prawns with Melon. I went to bed quite full - nothing out of the ordinary. At midnight, however, I awoke with a start... feeling as though my stomach had floated into my chest. The act of standing up and walking to the bathroom quashed any chance of digestive tranquility. I was not going to bed anytime soon.

The mere sight of the toilet triggered my initial vomiting. The toilet was soon full of partially digested shrimp and green melon. The pinkish chunks and abhorrent smell further provoked my downward spiral.

I began alternating between overheating and the chills. Then came the diarrhea. Sparing the reader unnecessary details, I had an out-of-body experience as I did "the Egyptian" that night.

By noon the next day, 1/25, things had begun to settle down, though the diarrhea has persisted off and on.

I think it goes without saying that I will not be going to PF Chang's again. I can only hope to be able to enjoy shellfish as I once did.

Regards... | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Chills
