Caprese Sandwich Illness Suspected - Panera Bread, Boulder Colorado

6 years ago reported by user-hbrcz984 business

Panera Bread, 29th Street, Boulder, CO, USA

1855 29th Street, Boulder, 80301 Colorado, United States

The first issue is that I wasn’t lied to about the cost of my food. I tried the “you buy two” option and asked how much it would cost. The cashier said the price would be around $7. I got a half caprese sandwich and a small cup of broccoli cheddar soup, as well as an iced coffee, expecting $10-12. The order came out as $17. I was given a laughably small amount of food, and when I took a bite of the sandwich I knew something was wrong with it (I believe the “sundried” tomatoes had gone rancid, though it may have been something else. I had an absolutely killer stomach ache for the rest of the day, and threw up the entire contents of my stomach at work. Now a day later, the stomach ache is still persisting and I have had (to put it nicely) other stomach and bowel issues. (FYI, I know for a fact the food poisoning was caused by Panera, as that has been the only time I’ve eaten out in the last 3 weeks. I have eaten only dried, packaged, and other non-restaurant food during the past few weeks. I sincerely hope something is done about this, as food poisoning can be a major health problem for a very large number of people (especially at a place like Panera). | Symptoms: Vomiting, Stomach Pain
