Food Safety Report - Papa John's, Belleville Illinois

6 days ago reported by user-rfgg3155 business

Papa Johns Pizza, North Belt West, Belleville, IL, USA

3809 North Belt West, Belleville, 62226 Illinois, United States

On January 2nd, 2025 my husband and I got Papa John’s pizza for dinner late at 11pm. He was fine, but at 2am on the 3rd I wasn’t. And we think it’s because I ate the spicy pepper that comes with the pizza, while he didn’t. My bowels were cleared in 30 minutes, but I was defecating blood and still had terrible cramps. At the hospital I tested negative for norovirus, and the stool sample came back negative for any significant amount of bacterial pathogens. I think my body cleared out quickly whatever it was. By January 5th I recovered. I just want to make others aware that the pepperoncinis might be causing food poisoning. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Cramps
