Ate a bowl of store brand Rice Crisps cereal that I'd purchased from my local Walmart. Almost immediately began to feel unwell. It felt like I had eaten a lead balloon. Went to bed at 4:30 PM. Stomach pains continued for hours. Then, it felt like my entire digestive system was at a standstill. Took some baking soda and water thinking it would be helpful to burp, but was never able to do so, and that's extremely unusual. Stomach continued to hurt throughout the next day. Eventually managed to eat half a sandwich the next day, but stomach was still bloated and in pain. And my elimination schedule was off. Diarrhea began thirty-six hours later. Was still feeling ill 3 days afterward. Contacted my doctor and she suggested I take Phillips Milk of Magnesia right away, and she prescribed Metronidazole and one other medicine. | Symptoms: Stomach Pain, Bloating

Why the antibiotic? Did you have bacteria in your stool? Hard to imagine Rice Krispies could do that.
