Ordered clam chowder at lunch as a sub for fries, to prevent heartburn. Turns out I should have risked it as I woke up at about 1:00 am with abdominal cramps and diarrhea, lasting intermittently until about 4. As of this morning, it seems to have stopped. Per cdc.gov, this fits the typical pattern for clostridium perfringens: found in food kept around a while (sauces, gravies...cream soups), quick onset and course of illness, generally no nausea or fever. Not happy, but I had to get food poisoning, at least it was quick. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Heartburn, Cramps, Fever, Nausea
