I depart tomorrow after a trip to hell and back. The buffet made me sick and the staff had no protocol for health emergencies. They tried to force a release on us before they would give us care. I ended up in the Cancun hospital and admitted overnight. I came back to the resort yesterday and they delayed delivering food to take with medication. Basically stonewalling service because we didn't sign a release of liability. There is something very wrong with this hotel. The ambulance and hospital tried to demand 4K usd upfront. The whole thing is an organized racket. Do not come here. You will be risking your life if you do. I am pursuing action against the resort and Marriott for putting my life and health at risk, refusing to make medical accommodation and prioritizing guest safety. My story is not isolated. Just search food poisoning royalton splash. This is business as usual for them. What I experienced could have killed a child, pregnant woman or anyone vulnerable.
