Duck Quick Serve Illness - Sang's Chinese Food and Dim Sum, North Miami Beach Florida

3 months ago reported by user-dccg9224 business

Sang's Chinese Food and Dim Sum, Northeast 163rd Street, North Miami Beach, FL, USA

1925 Northeast 163rd Street, North Miami Beach, 33162 Florida, United States

Last night and today Still The only meal I ate yesterday at a Chinese restaurant **Subject: Food Poisoning Incident at Sang's Chinese Food and Dim Sum** **To Whom It May Concern,** I am writing to report a suspected case of food poisoning that I believe I contracted from a meal at Sang's Chinese Food and Dim Sum, located at Northeast 163rd Street, North Miami Beach, FL, USA. Below are the details of my experience: **Date and Time of Visit:** August 1, 2024, between 8-9 PM **Items Ordered:** - Roasted Duck - Eggrolls - Rice **Incident Description:** I visited Sang's Chinese Food and Dim Sum on August 1, 2024, and ordered the items listed above. The roasted duck was delivered to my table within five minutes of ordering, which raised concerns about how long it had been sitting out. The restaurant staff mentioned that the duck stays in the oven all day. This quick service and the preparation method mentioned led me to believe that the food might not have been handled or stored properly. After consuming the meal, I began experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning. Cramps started at 2 AM and persisted throughout the night, during which I visited the toilet numerous times. This morning, I had diarrhea and continued to experience cramps all day. Additionally, I felt weak and lethargic and lost 5 pounds overnight, going from 213 lbs to 207 lbs. I am concerned that other patrons may also be at risk and believe it is important for the Department of Health to investigate this matter to ensure food safety standards are being upheld. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Other, Cramps
