I ate the shoprite brand “Muenster” cheese block for breakfast yesterday morning I would say around 11am. I ate about a quarter of the block (it’s good cheese). Around 4pm I started getting stomach pain and I went to the bathroom and at that time I had diarrhea. As the hour passed, the nausea got worse. Around 5:30pm I vomited. That’s when it started to get worse. I got cold chills, bad stomach pain and the nausea was getting worse. Around 6:45pm I vomited again, I drank water so that’s what came out. I couldn’t move from my couch, I had to end up calling family members to help (I have a 6 year old and a 4 month old). I took sips of water from this point forward to stay hydrated. I vomited one final time around 8pm, that’s when I vomited bile and I started to feel better. After that I took a vitamin c pill and a Tylenol. I still had nausea but I didn’t vomit. I fell asleep for about 2 hours then woke back up, throughout this time I had a low grade fever of about 99 degrees. Went to sleep in my bed and sweated profusely the entire night. I woke up every 2 ½ hours (because of my baby) and every time I was drenched in sweat. I woke up this morning, my body sore from the vomiting and a bit of a headache but no where near as bad as last night. But now my husband is coming down with the same symptoms and he ate the cheese last night. (We came to a realization that it was the cheese this morning because it was the only thing we both ate that was the same.) | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Chills, Stomach Pain, Bile, Sweating, Soreness
