Honey Bunches of Oats, I had a bowl one morning, and then I felt sleepy and weird the rest of the day. The next day I had a bowl, and felt stomach cramps all day, with diarrhea for 12-24 hours after. My husband had a bowl today and now he’s feeling unsettled. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps

Hi, thanks for your comment. TIP: It is possible to get sick from cereal. In 2018 Quaker Oats recalled Capn' Crunch due to a Salmonella outbreak that infected 135 people. In 2010 Kellogg's recalled 28 million boxes of cereal due to 'off-flavor and smell' and the possibility of symptoms, including nausea and diarrhea.
Some very bad bacteria can be at a concerning level long before an off smell occurs. For instance, Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, Campylobacter, Typhoid, Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, and Brucellosis.
