On Friday 11.17.2023 at approximately 2:30 p.m., I shopped at Stop & Shop. In addition to other items, I bought Greek Pasta Salad (a prepared food), frozen butterfly shrimp, and Boar’s Head sauerkraut. That evening around 5:30-6:00, I ate the Greek salad and some of the butterfly shrimp. I tasted a small amount of sauerkraut. I had not eaten any food that day prior to that. It is typical for me to eat one meal a day. I went to bed around 7:30. At approximately 1:00 a.m. the following morning on 11.18.2023, I was awakened by a feeling of pronounced nausea. I made it to the bathroom just in time to vomit in the sink. The vomiting was propulsive and plentiful. While this was happening, I sensed the onset of diarrhea. From then on for a couple hours it was back and forth between the toilet and the sink. This would have been stressful during daylight hours, but at 1:00 to 3:00 in the morning it was horrific. If I had to guess, I would say the culprit was the Greek salad — probably salmonella. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
