Slimy Chicken Causes Illness - Subway, Chambersburg Pennsylvania

2 years ago reported by user-wqyq7661 business

Subway, Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, USA

947 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, 17201 Pennsylvania, United States

On Friday April 28 at Approximately 6pm, my husband and i got take out from this restaurant. I ordered the big garlic sub, which came with rotisserie chicken. The chicken looked slimy in the tray, even though it was cooked. I chose to ignore that. And ate my toasted sub when I got home (15 minutes later).

On Saturday April 26 at Approximately 6am, I woke up with severe stomach pain and nausea. I ran to the bathroom. My stool was entirely liquid. Within a few more minutes, I was hunched over the side of the bathtub, sweating and vomiting in addition to pooping. This continued until around noon. I had a few small reprieves where I would feel semi- ok for up to 30 minutes. Then it would start again.

It is now 8pm. I was finally able to keep down an anti-dihareal around 1pm and since then I've been able to slowly sip water and suck on ice chips in between vomiting about every 2 hours.

I'm not 100% certain that this was caused by the cooked, slimy chicken, but thst sub was the only thing I ate the previous day. My symptoms seem to be those of gastroenteritis especially since I spent 6 hours having tandem diarrhea and vomiting and my fever is up to 101°F currently. I did consult with a doctor who recommended i go to the hospital if my fever hits 103 or the dehydration gets worse. For now I'm riding this out at home. Best of luck to anyone else who may have been affected. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Dehydration, Sweating, Stomach Pain, Gas
