Came here for Valentine’s Day date and we were planning to get the lobster roll because we’ve had it before and enjoyed it there. We both ordered it and ate pretty much all of it, and we enjoyed it but it didn’t taste quite as good as we remembered it was the last time we had it. About 5 minutes after eating it I felt really tired and then my hearing started to fade into very muffled, tunnel-like hearing. I felt like I was about to pass out, fading in and out and I wasn’t sure what was happening so I was telling my partner and then all of a sudden he starts to feel off as well and almost passes out. He started to gag and quickly went to the bathroom trying to hold it until he got there but it was coming up violently on the way. While that was happening I didn’t feel like I could even walk with out passing out so I ended up throwing up in my hands at the table. We were shocked to discover it had come up so quickly and were wondering what had happened but we knew it was the lobster we ate because once we had thrown it all up and it was out of our bodies we felt perfectly fine and normal and did not have any symptoms after that incident. Once the managers came over to talk to us they kept insisting that it couldn’t have been anything we ate from there’s d that we must have gotten food poisoning from a prior meal. The managers tried to point out that if it was food poisoning it would have to take 8 hours to happen, which is false. I was very clear that I knew it was the lobster and that they should not be serving it to anyone else but they pushed that to the side and said they were already serving 100’s of plates of the lobster roll. After talking to some friends from Maine and doing some research I learned that if lobster excrements are not cleaned out of their digestive tracts properly it will make you sick immediately, which is exactly what happened to us. Not only was it embarrassing to be sick in front of the whole restaurant but they also ruined our whole night on Valentine’s Day and we had to cancel the rest of our plans for the night. | Symptoms: Vomiting, Other
