This also happened to me both times I tried the hearts of palm pasta (also live in NJ). Extreme pain and violently ill in the middle of the night.

I had the same reaction… Never will eat this again!!

Me as well!!! What the hell is it? I thought last time I ate it I was throwing up from a virus but I guess not. I have extreme headache and nausea and vomitting

Same here. Severe stomach pain and vomiting. Stomach still hurts 36 hours later.

Had hearts of palm for dinner, woke up with headache, nausea and horrible stomach pain.

Same here. Terrible abdominal pain, awake all night, sick to my stomach all night. Ate nothing the next day, now this morning two bites of applesauce did not stay down.

I had severe vomiting and diarrhea after eating TJ hearts of palm rice. Never again. I have had chemo twice and never was so sick.

I've been feeling all of this. Any ideas why??

Omg Trader Joe’s tells me no one ever reported this but me. I had a severe reaction to this the 3 and 4th time I ate it. Vomitting , fever, chills, diarrhea for hours

I don’t know if it’s trader joes or not. I had Walmart’s heart of palms and I got diarrhea the last time I ate it. It is because of a sudden change in fiber, ir can cause vomit, bloating or diarrhea. It is a normal bodily response due to a sudden fiber intake. This food is high in fiber. You can research. Also, try eating the same thing from Walmart or another super market. That way you can make sure it’s the food in general that make you guys vomit and not just Trader Joe’s. Try eating small portions. The time it gave diarrhea I had a whole can.

Yep just happened to my wife as she ate it for the second time. Diarrhea has a stomach pains and almost passing out.

I just googled this and found this thread. I am so sick after eating this from Trader Joe’s. It’s awful. Never again.

I bought the hearts of palm pasta today at Trader Joe’s and had it for lunch and I have been sick to my stomach ever since I ate it four hours ago. I will never buy that again and I would never recommend it to anyone. It didn’t even taste very good.
