Salmonella.I purchased chicken wrap sandwiches from the local store which were eaten for lunch Wednesday & Thursday July 10 & 11. By Friday night I had horrible diarrhea and by Saturday late morning I was in the hospital. I was there for 8 days on fluids and antibiotics through IV. I also had two catheters, one in front and one in back.
I had nothing but water and jello for the first 5 days. I was given 'full liquids' on day 6 (cream of wheat, pudding, etc). It was on day 6, I think, that the front urine tube was removed and on day 7, I think, that the rectal tube was pulled.
Also on days 7 & 8 I was given a regular diet. I was taken off the IV came home on the 8th night. Continuing on doctor's orders I am resting to regain my strength through day 16, July 28th. That makes two full weeks out of work with no income. | Symptoms: Diarrhea
