Duration: 12 to 24 hours
Sick: 2 people
Additional information: I had bought the 12 count 80% lean 20% fat 1/3lb beef chuck patties from this walmart location on April 9th, 2025. On April 10th, 2025 my partner and I had made two patties for late night dinner around 10:30pm. By 11:15pm we were having burps that had tasted and smelt of rancid beef. By 3:15am my partner was vomiting and having diarrhea. Around this time I as well was having stomach cramps, but thought nothing of it. My partner was consistently vomiting and having diarrhea (vomited 5 times in 8 hours) I soon after at 9am Started to have diarrhea as well, and by 9:30am was vomiting. We were having severe abdominal cramps as well and weakness, we weren’t able to barely get ourselves up to take care of our infant. After about 12 hrs of being sick for my partner and 9 for me, we are finally starting to feel back to normal with the exception of abdominal cramping, stomach pain, and the sweat/ chills. We thought we must have gotten a virus until we both were talking to each other and realized we burps that tasted like rotting meat before we had gotten sick. I have realized this walmart has been selling food that is not safe for consumption, such as rotting fruit that is molding, meat that is past expiration date that and is clearly rotting (that was not the case with this product, as it was not past the expiration date nor looked to be bad), as well as many other perishable products that are around a week past due. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Weakness
