Food Safety Report: Wawa, Gall Boulevard, Zephyrhills, FL, USA.

On 12/28/18 at 6:15pm, I stopped in at WaWa to get my favorite sub/hoagie, a meatball Parmesan sub with extra cheese, pepperonis and bacon. I paid for it with my WaWa app and left. I ate the whole thing right away, no foul order or taste, it’s also the only thing I had to eat all day. Late that evening while watching a movie with my wife, I felt a familiar ache which I know all too well to be a severe vomiting spell from food poisoning. About midnight of 12/29/18, it started and didn’t stop for hours. My wife finally had to call 9-1-1 and rush me to Florida Hospital-Tampa. After a battery of tests, I was admitted and told I was suffering from a bad dose of food poisoning. I was given IV fluids and medication for the next day (+). At around 3pm on 12/30/18, I was dischargued although as expected, I wasn’t anywhere near 100%. After feeling queazy most of Monday, 12/31/18, the vomiting started again but very violent, this time. I had to signal with my fingers for my wife to call 9-1-1 but this time I rode in the ambulance.

The doctor who treated me told me that I was being admitted for more than 24 hours this time as the food poisoning and all the vomiting it caused, actually infected my pancreas and here I lie in the hospital with Acute Pacreatitis. For me though, it’s chronic because I’ve had it before. I’m in unimaginable pain. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting
