E. coli from Cheeseburger - Wendy's, Lillington North Carolina

6 years ago reported by user-ppkgn339 business

Wendy's, North Main Street, Lillington, NC, USA

1165 North Main Street, Lillington, 27546 North Carolina, United States

On Tuesday, October 29,2018 I purchased a Dave's Double cheeseburger. 10 minutes after eating the burger I became very sick, nausea, fever, chills, muscle aches and fatigue. On Wednesday October 31st the symptoms were the same. Thursday October 31st my symptoms were the same, however diarrhea was added with a fever of 102.7 and I was so sick and weak I couldn't get out of bed I had to call out sick at work. On Friday November 1st I still had all the same symptoms so I again had call out sick from work but contacted doctor and scheduled an appointment. My doctor examined me and did bloodwork and urine sample. When the part of the results came back my sodium levels were extremely low due to dehydration from diarrhea so my doctor wouldn't allow me to leave the office until I received fluids through IV. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic to treat the food poisoning. On November 6th my doctor contacted via telephone to inform me that the urine sample results came back ànd confirmed that I had Ecoli ( food poisoning) and Dave's Double cheeseburger was the only thing I ate that day. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Dehydration, Chills, Fatigue, Muscle Pain, Weakness
