Alert for Oysters from Korea Contaminated with Norovirus

FDA has issued a warning against certain frozen, raw, half-shell oysters from the Republic of Korea, potentially contaminated with Norovirus. The outbreak has reportedly affected an unspecified number of people in California. These oysters were distributed to restaurants and retailers in California and may have reached other states as well.The effected products are Lots B231126, B240103, and B240214 of oysters processed by JBR (KR 15 SP) in Tongyeongsi, Republic of Korea on specific dates in late 2023 and early 2024.
The FDA advises consumers not to eat and restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell these oysters due to the potential Norovirus contamination.
