young Bride and Groom who's whole wedding party also became violently sick during the same days as we did, some even hospitalized. After day 2 of my fiance and I not being able to eat, painful vomiting, severe diarrheaa, stabbing stomach pains and begging for more toilet paper from the front desk.
I decided to call and request a hotel food and beverage manager because I wanted to complain the obvious contaminated food we ate. After calling and I was then directed to meet a manager...but it was a Security manager who was there waiting on me. So, I then questioned why I was not speaking to the F&B manager. I was then told that the security would need to request my fiance and I to go to the nurse and give details on what specifically we ate, so she could narrow it down...sounded good.
BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE NOR THE TRUTH. When we arrived to the nurse she already knew of the wedding party, kids and all (excluding the bride and groom) being extremely sick after I mentioned about them. But the nurse did not ask us to write down or ask us what we ate. She immediately upon us sitting down pulls out some COVID-19 paperwork and rudely says fill it ALL out as if we weren't supposed to read it....I told her we are here for food poisoning symptoms and to report what we ate not to fill out Covid 19 paperwork. Then I noticed the paperwork is something a lawyer cooked up to place guests into quarantine for up to 14 days...Cha Ching!!! More money for them if you sign that Covid paperwork we would have been forced to stay longer than your paid stay that is. I told my fiance to stop filling out the paperwork and for us to leave immediately because we would not receive the help we needed at the resort. The next day after not being able to sleep for 3 days from having stabbing stomach pains, severe vomiting and severe diarrhea.
I immediately paid for change of flight and accommodations back home and we got the hell out of there within 4 hours from time I started all the changes that morning....We had to lie to leave and say bad weather was coming and forced to write it on the back of checkout paperwork to cover they asses...Wooooow!!! Shameful practices to decieve what a tangled web they weave at.
But upon leaving God forbid my fiance speak of her symptoms once in the airport...She was even more TERRIFIED she couldn't show any signs of sickness at the airport for chances of quarantine (in a
Jamaican governmentt Covid-19 quarantine facility) caused by food poisoning even though she was severely nauseous and afraid she couldn't hold her bowels long, possibly.
She had to be wheelchaired through 3 airports which was embarrassing and also created an issue with some people seeing what they think is a healthy young lady getting carted around speaking belligerently behind our backs but kind others mentioned it to us including a flight attendant who had to come to my fiance defense when confronted why he couldn't get a wheel chair along with his wife and kids too... smh, even though little to their knowledge she was suffering from salmonella food poisoning, severe dehydration that recently was told from our Dr. has caused acute kidney damage to her. I was somewhat more lucky and was able to hold more of my fluids than my fiance.
But I have never met people more in denial and dismissal than the health care workers and food and beverage management there.
