I was told I was severely food poisoned, like I thought. I wasn't able to break the fever until the 24th. The doctor believes that it was either salmonella from the chicken, or E.Coli from the romaine. She also believes that if it was neither that there was a chance the salad may have been mishandled and stored at room temperature for too long. MF Meats is recalling approximately 93,277 pounds of raw meat products due to potential contamination with a non-food grade substance, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). A few hours or number of hours after eating at Jim’s Pizza on 224th in Maple Ridge my daughter and I independently became violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea. (Pasta with chicken) (salad with chicken). Granddaughter didn’t eat chicken and never got ill. Vomiting lasted 12 hours... See More every few minutes and diarrhea 4 days. Had to monitor blood sugar regularly as diabetic and try to keep hydrated. I’m in my 70’s so recovery was much longer than a young person. I’ve since learned that apparently it’s common knowledge to many and many, many individuals have got food poisoning from this location over the past weeks and/or months and this place is still operating. We stayed at the Tui Blue Cabo Verde from 5th February 2024 until 19th February 2024

I became very ill, 2 days into the holiday, with violent stomach cramps, nausea, fever and diarrhoea it lasted for the whole holiday and I’m still waiting to recover ( I... See More have now been back 3 weeks) I’m currently waiting to get some treatment, as my doctor doesn’t know what to treat it with.

I concur with others, that glasses and cups in the room were not replenished with clean ones every day, my husbands bed sheets were changed with stained sheets. It was difficult to get tea, coffee and drinks at meal times. Water was only available from water fountains which were fed from the big blue bottles. Bottles of water were only replaced every two days. I do not drink alcohol and only drink water (sparkling or still)

In a nutshell my holiday has been ruined and I will never return to Cape Verde again. TUI have a duty of care to their customers and in my opinion they have not fulfilled their responsibility
The reps are only interested in selling overpriced island tours and activities. I have complained to TUI and have been told I will need to get a report from the doctor.

My motivation for leaving this review is to protect people from suffering how I am with this horrible poisoning. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Fever, Cramps
