Undercooked Hash Brown Illness

Served an uncooked hash brown. Cold to touch and clearly not cooked. Was put on plate by another family member. used knife and fork to cut in and subsequently put a bit in my mouth before realizing. Now 11 hours later and suffering with nausea and diarrhea
