I got food poisoning at the Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana from the Seaside restaurant most likely. Had met another couple who also got sick.

Started feeling nauseous in the evening, the next thing I know I am throwing up my dinner, lunch. From then on I have been puking everything that gets into me and stomach can produce every 20-40 minutes or if I drink water. It has only been first
12 hours, and I am just glad I am no longer shaking. The place is not the cleanest, the cups are stained, had to ask to change plates and etc.

Week of January 5th-11th Salmonella 3 out of 7 of us in our group got terribly sick at Majestic Mirage. One got iv fluids at resort on January 10th before we left on the 11th. We went to the hospital when we got home and all got iv fluids and were diagnosed with salmonella poisoning.

Jan 7-present Vacationing at Majestic Mirage, Punta Cana. Diagnosed when we returned home. 5 day hospitalization. We arrived Jan 3 and left Jan 12. On Jan 7 got sick with headache, diarrhea, fever, nausea, vomiting. Couldn’t leave the room. Hospitalized for 5 days upon return home with
severe electrolyte problems. Still not completely back to normal. 6 out of 14 of us became ill with diarrhea illness. Assuming the rest had samanella as well as we ate our meals together.. We are at several places on the property before getting sick.

Had the best trip of my life. My wedding was there. Just got home and while it was the best trip. I have been very very sick since Tuesday morning, with extreme stomach pain, muscle pain, no appetite, exhaustion, diarrhea, gas, vomiting, nausea, chills, fever. I messaged
my butler and the wedding planner the night before leaving resort so they would know about my stomach issues and not feeling so well, but more importantly that they knew it was an important situation as 2 other guests had begun getting stomach issues. As of today 2 more have come forward with it for a total of 5 people. I am waiting to see who else and can update after. I am not getting better as I had hoped. The pain is horrible right below my rib cage center of abdomen. Figured today it's bad cause I actually tried eating for first time in 3 days. I am hoping it slowly gets better or headed to urgent care tomorrow. I truly believe this is all coming from lack of sanitation causing cross contamination. Every employee in the restaurants are touching plates and food and silverware with bare hands, no use of gloves. Juicing oranges is done without gloves, popping bottles etc.... while that may be allowed, if someone has a cut, uses the restroom, doesn't clean hands properly, it passes on to your food and internally to you. I would really like they and the other resorts to step in and see what is happening that is making so many people sick.

My spouse and I arrived on a Friday and were left waiting in the hotel lobby for literally approx. 2 hours to go to our room with a butler. Upon arrival at our room the butler opened the door, and the smell of mold was beyond overwhelming.
We told the butler we would not be able to stay in a room with mold for health reasons (it was that bad). He tried moving us to another room and it was the same. We told him we had not eaten since day before and were going to get something to eat while they figured it out. Food was literally inedible but we digested what we could stomach and went back to the reception area where we were told that the hotel would put us in another room for the night and reimburse us the money so we could find safe accommodations. It was late at this time (almost 10) and so we went to the room he recommended,and it was not any better, but we decided to sleep with the door open and towels over our faces. Unfortunately, the room was above the pool and thus the huge party and loud noise made the door open thing not doable. Two in the morning woke up with horrid headache and began vomiting. Vomiting literally went on all night. At early morning my spouse went to find the guy who assured us he would refund us and get us another hotel and he was nowhere to be found and they said he will be in shortly and continued saying that. At about 945 am after 3 hours of waiting we realized they were playing this game with us and they told us that they were not refunding money. We had two choices go find a hotel in a strange country last minute while we are both so incredibly sick or try and get home. We flew home with being in the Dominican Republic for less than 24 hours. If the hotel and travel company had helped us out, we might have been able to salvage our vacation. It has been a number of weeks and I am still sick with on again and off again sickness. Trying to figure it out with doctors.
