My family has suffered the last 2 days from a brutal case of food poisoning from Church's Chicken on Stockton Boulevard and 14th Avenue. We purchased the family meal which included mixed chicken and rice/mashed potatoes for the sides, as well as the jug of sweet tea that it came with on Monday July 16, 2018. Early the next morning we were all very ill. My 10 year old son was vomiting and had serious diarrhea... He laid in the bathroom next to the toilet for most of the day. I have a new found thankfulness that we have 2 bathrooms because I was equally ill. We became dehydrated, but even just a few sips of water would have us running to the bathroom again. I called the store that Tuesday to tell the manager what the food had done. She was rude, unapologetic, said she would "make a note of it" and told me to have a good day. Like seriously lady? A good day?! I thought we may end up in the hospital it was so bad. Missed 2 days of work (and I work for an attorney, so it's a big deal). Just this evening we were able to consume bread and water (after 2 days of nothing). So far so good. I need to alert corporate as my household could not have been the only consumers affected by the food purchased there that day. I will never in my life eat there again.
